Since the COVID-19 pandemic, Indian companies have reported more cyberattacks than any other country, with 56% reporting a rise in their IT costs in recent months. This is two times the global average, according to the Acronis Cyber Readiness Report 2020. The report also provides some key findings which highlight that 92% of companies globally have begun using technology which enables them to work remotely, with technology covering areas such as privacy solutions, endpoint security and workplace collaboration tools.

The survey conducted by Acronis, a global cyber protection leader which protects 3,400 global companies, found that 39% of global companies witnessed video conferencing attacks in the past 3 months. The report also found that Malware attacks have increased, with 31% of companies reporting daily attacks, while half have been attacked at least once a week, while phishing attacks have similarly increased. These findings indicate that cyber-protection solutions which reduce complexity and improve security for a remote workforce are of the utmost importance for companies in a post-pandemic world.
