Application single-sign on vendor SaaSID has announced that it has been acquired by cloud IT services and business application services vendor Intermedia.
An established name in identity and access management, security and compliance vendor, Intermedia already offered single sign-on via its Office in the Cloud suite of services, and now adds the SaaSID technology to allow users to offer simplicity and security in accessing their cloud applications.
Phil Koen, Intermedia chairman and CEO, praised Ed Macnair, former CEO of SaaSID and now managing director, EMEA of Intermedia, for rapidly forging a reputation as innovators in the security space. “We will invest in and hasten the speed with which this ground-breaking technology is available to our customers,” Koen said.
Macnair said: “SaaSID was founded to enable businesses to fully benefit from using cloud-based services more broadly while increasing security. Our single sign-on and cloud application control software is the perfect fit for all of Intermedia’s customers. SaaSID’s customers will immediately gain from the resources and expertise of a global organisation like Intermedia, as well as its ‘worry-free’ support model.”
The SaaSID cloud service will be available as an integrated Intermedia service early next year. Terms of the deal were not publicly disclosed.
