ITSG Special Report on the Security Serious Campaign

For a number of years, October has been dubbed Cyber Security Awareness Month. The problem is that not many people know that and fewer do anything about it. Well, it’s time to change that. The last week of October (26th-20th) we’re launching a campaign called Security Serious – five days dedicated to businesses and consumers who take security seriously and want to share their cyber security experiences with others. Our mantra will be ‘we’re taking security seriously, are you?’
With just over 4 weeks to go before Security Serious Week kicks off on 26th October, I am pleased to report that the campaign has an amazing 52 companies who are offering their time and expertise for FREE during Security Serious Week. Why? Because our industry is special and collaborative! If we don’t get together to help impart some of our skills and knowledge to those companies who don’t quite get it, then we’ll all suffer! It’s in everyone’s interest.
The exciting thing is that there’s so much goodwill – Canon UK have been fabulous by agreeing to print everyone’s banner at the photocall on 26th October outside the Tower of London. HP Security Voltage have agreed to pay for the lunch after the photocall – and loads of great people have come forward to offer lectures, seminars and webinars.
Visit www.securityserious.com supporters page to see who is on board! Why not join us – it won’t cost you a penny just your time to make UK PLC a better place to trade online more securely!
