DDoS defense provider NSFOCUS has announced that Jens Andreassen has been named Chief Operating Officer, effective immediately. In his role at NSFOCUS, Andreassen will be responsible for launching new products and growing the company’s business outside of China – focusing on growing its foothold in North America, EMEA, Japan and APAC. Andreassen joins NSFOCUS at a pivotal time – as the company seeks to expand its market share and continue to develop and deliver best-in-class cloud, hybrid and on-premises DDoS and network security solutions. In this role, he will report directly to Chief Executive Officer, Jiye Shen.
“NSFOCUS is dedicated to providing our global customers with the best enterprise- and carrier-grade network security solutions available to confront today’s cyber threats,” said Jiye Shen, CEO, NSFOCUS. “We are fortunate to have Jens on board as part of our executive leadership team and are confident that under his guidance, we will expand our contribution to the security industry with new and innovative technology, allowing us to better protect our customer’s assets and keep their operations running. His experience providing strategic counsel to help companies build market share and achieve their goals makes him the perfect choice to guide the future direction and growth of NSFOCUS.”
Andreassen brings 25 years of global sales and business development experience, with more than 15 years working with leading enterprise security corporations. Most recently he served as CEO of Lastline, a cybersecurity company focused on real-time analysis of advanced malware and advanced persistent threat defense. Prior to that he spent eight years as International Vice President of Strategy and New Technology for Fortinet where he was responsible for setting up and running sales operations internationally as well as driving new product and technology initiatives and related strategic partnerships. He has also held several key sales and executive positions at Narus, Micromuse and Tandberg, among others.
“In today’s threat landscape, cybercriminals continue to step up their attacks with innovative tactics and new technology and the one thing all organisations have in common is a growing concern about the crippling ramifications of cyber attacks,” said Jens Andreassen, COO, NSFOCUS. “With attacks coming from multiple new sources including the cloud and IoT devices, security teams need solutions that help them combat emerging threats. I’m energised and excited to join the NSFOCUS team as we look to expand our product and service offerings to help our clients tackle their most important security challenges. I’m excited to work with Jiye and the rest of the NSFOCUS team to expand our global reach, provide the most comprehensive network security protection and help shape and innovate the way companies approach cyber security defense.”
