Nexus launches new cloud service for digital PDF signing

Identity and security company Nexus Group launches a new cloud service for digital PDF signing. “No integration is needed: you just sign up for a subscription, and your users can start making secure electronic signatures straight away,” says Daniel Ericsson, head of signing solutions at Nexus.
The new service, Nexus GO PDF Signing, costs €199 per month plus €1.50 per document  signed – no matter how many people are signing the document.
“When one of your users needs other people to sign a PDF document, they can just upload it to the Nexus GO PDF Signing portal and request who they want to have sign it. These people get an email with a link to the document,” says Ericsson.

Login and signing with a mobile app

They log in and sign the document using a mobile app with an electronic identity which you give them easily via the Nexus GO PDF Signing service (and if you have users in Sweden, you can also soon choose to have them use the Swedish nation-wide electronic identity BankID).
“When the document is signed by all the requested people, the user that requested the signing gets an email,” says Ericsson.

Secure information is added to the document

When a document is signed with Nexus GO PDF Signing, it contains information about who signed the document, when the signature was added, and that the signature was valid when the document was signed. It can later be verified that the document was not modified after it was signed.
“This service has a wide range of uses. For example, meeting minutes that have to be signed can be uploaded to the portal, instead of printed out and distributed manually to everybody that has to sign,” says Ericsson.

Possibility to integrate the service

Later this fall, Nexus will release an API that makes it possible to integrate Nexus GO PDF Signing with your existing IT infrastructure.
“If you opt to integrate, your users can log in to the portal and sign with the authentication methods they are already using to get access to your other digital services,” says Ericsson.
If the digital IDs you use for authentication to the portal are securely issued, the electronic signatures are classified as “advanced,” according to the EU regulation on electronic identificationand trust services for electronic transactions in the internal market (eIDAS).
