Check Point has today announced the completion of its acquisition of Cyberint Technologies Ltd., an innovative provider of external risk management solutions.

In August, the intention to acquire was announced, with completion happening today. The acquisition will significantly enhance Check Point’s Security Operations Center (SOC) capabilities and expand its managed threat intelligence offerings. Cyberint’s advanced capabilities will be integrated into the Check Point Infinity Platform for collaborative threat prevention and will also be available as a managed service through Check Point Infinity Platform Services.

Key capabilities that are now available for Check Point Infinity Platform users include:

  • Comprehensive External Risk Management Solution for Businesses: Detection and takedown of impersonating website, phishing and social media accounts, as well as stolen credentials and leaked data associated with organisations. It also enables companies to detect vulnerable internet-facing websites and applications and prioritise and effectively mitigate these vulnerabilities.
  • Rapid Delivery of Impactful and Actionable Intelligence to Protect Digital Assets: Actionable intelligence within 20 minutes after setup, ensuring that security teams can respond to threats promptly and prevent ransomware.
  • Powered by AI and Enhanced by High-Quality Managed Services: Effective risk detection, mitigation, and contextualised alerts with minimal false positives. Human intelligence further strengthens this approach, offering expert guidance and ensuring comprehensive, high-quality management.

Sharon Schusheim, Chief Services Officer at Check Point Software Technologies, said: “At Check Point, we are dedicated to staying ahead of the ever-growing threat landscape. By bringing Cyberint’s real-time exposure analysis to our Infinity Platform, we are providing our customers with proactive and actionable threat intelligence and exposure management that will protect them from even more threats. Cyberint’s technology will expand the threat prevention capabilities of the Infinity platform. We believe Security and Risk Management (SRM) leaders responsible for security operations will derive high value from it.

Previously, Yochai Corem, CEO at Cyberint, noted: “Leaked credentials and fake websites designed for malicious purposes are staggeringly prevalent today, with over 90% of organizations facing these threats. This highlights the urgent need for real-time intelligence and proactive defence strategies, which our technology is able to mitigate in an effective way. We are thrilled to join the Check Point team. Integrating our solutions into the Infinity Platform will enhance our ability to protect organizations. Together, we will offer a more comprehensive security SOC offering that covers both internal and external threats.”

In recent months, Check Point have been named a ‘visionary’ in the 2024 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Endpoint Protection Platforms, as well as being recognised as a ‘leader’ in email security in the Frost & Sullivan Email Security Radar Report.
