Check Point Software Technologies Ltd. has been recognised as a Leader and Fast Mover in the latest GigaOm Radar Report for Cloud-Native Application Protection Platforms (CNAPPs). In its assessment of 17 leading CNAPP solutions, GigaOm identifies Check Point as a Leader in the Innovation and Platform Play quadrant of the Radar, highlighting its strong focus on prevention and a cohesive strategy for cloud security.

This news follows recent analyst success for Check Point, including being named a ‘Visionary’ in the 2024 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Enterprise Protection Platforms and being recognised as a ‘Leader’ in the Frost & Sullivan Email Security Radar report.

In its latest report, GigaOm notes that cloud-native application protection platforms (CNAPPs) represent a combination of technologies that solve the complex security problems faced by modern cloud-native environments. GigaOm analyst Chris Ray notes, “Check Point CloudGuard scored 5/5 on a number of features. The solution’s comprehensive approach makes it valuable for securing cloud-native applications, managing cloud misconfigurations, and protecting against advanced threats in cloud environments. Its ability to integrate with DevOps processes makes it useful for organizations adopting DevSecOps practices.”

As enterprises accelerate their cloud adoption, they require automated protection against sophisticated, evolving threats. Check Point’s 2024 Cloud Security Report underscores the significant shift in perception regarding the challenges of managing cloud risks. Check Point CloudGuard offers robust, automated cloud security, prioritising real-time threat detection. As a component of the Infinity Platform, CloudGuard seamlessly integrates with other Check Point solutions, providing a cohesive and multi-layered security strategy.

Paul Barbosa, VP of Cloud Security at Check Point Software Technologies: “With another accolade for our cloud security portfolio, we are proud that CloudGuard is recognised as a frontrunner and definitive Leader in GigaOm’s CNAPP Radar report. Our leadership in this space highlights how CloudGuard enables organisations to innovate confidently, knowing they have comprehensive and scalable protection that adapts to their evolving needs.”

GigaOm’s evaluation praised CloudGuard for its scalable cloud security, advanced threat detection and prevention, real-time API security, and seamless code security. It highlighted CloudGuard’s ability to scale across complex cloud environments, its AI-powered remediation suggestions, its real-time monitoring of APIs, and its early detection of vulnerabilities in the development pipeline.

Earlier this year, GigaOm recognised Check Point as a ‘Leader‘ in its Radar Report for Security Policy as Code.
