As the industry continues to embrace artificial intelligence, questions are being raised about how much visibility and control they have over the information employees are sharing with AI tools.

Speaking to IT Security Guru at International Cyber Expo 2026, Graham Tetley, CTO at Maple Networks, explained that AI security and data loss prevention were among the biggest concerns raised by visitors to the company’s stand.

Many organisations have already introduced AI tools or allowed employees to use them, but are now trying to understand how those technologies are being used and what information could potentially be exposed.

For Graham one of the biggest risks comes from employees accidentally sharing sensitive business information with AI platforms.

While malicious activity remains a concern, he believes organisations also need to pay closer attention to human error, particularly when employees may not fully understand the implications of entering company data into AI systems.

During the interview, Graham also discussed how Maple Networks is helping organisations gain greater visibility of their security environments through its 24/7 Security Operations Centre (SOC) services.

The UK-based cybersecurity provider works with public and private sector organisations, offering continuous security monitoring alongside penetration testing services delivered by CREST-accredited testers and Penetration Testing as a Service (PTaaS).

As AI adoption continues to accelerate, Graham believes understanding how employees interact with these tools and preventing unintended data exposure will remain important priorities for security teams.

Watch the full interview to hear Graham Tetley discuss the cybersecurity challenges organisations are facing, the risks associated with AI adoption and how Maple Networks is helping businesses strengthen their security.
