iSIGHT Partners has acquired Critical Intelligence, a vendor in cyber situational awareness and threat intelligence for Industrial Control Systems (ICS) owners and operators.
“Demand for cyber threat intelligence continues to accelerate as more and more enterprises recognise that they cannot counter sophisticated cyber threats through technology alone. With the increased threat concerns for organisations that own and manage critical infrastructure or operate important manufacturing systems, an intelligence led approach to cyber security is critical,” said iSIGHT Partners CEO John Watters. “While critical infrastructure has always been a focus area for iSIGHT Partners, adding the Critical Intelligence team extends our cyber threat intelligence leadership position for this industry segment.”
The Critical Intelligence client base includes (among others) three of the largest electric utilities in the world and clients across the Fortune 500. “We were the first to track the ICS threat environment and our team members started what became the DHS ICS Cert,” said Bob Huber of Critical Intelligence. “We’ve analysed more than 1,000 ICS-specific vulnerabilities, have kicked-off law enforcement investigations and provided continuous, adaptive intelligence to some of the largest owners and operators around the world.
