The NSA and GCHQ are mounting targeted attacks designed to undermine popular security tools using “dubious” secret warrants, according to documents leaked by whistleblower Edward Snowden. The Intercept reported on the campaign, claiming that the two intelligence agencies have been working to reverse engineer and circumvent popular anti-virus and privacy software from a number of vendors, including Kaspersky.
