At least five large Russian banks are being targeted by moderate-intensity cyberattacks since November 8, a source close to the Bank of Russia said Wednesday. Russia’s largest retail bank Sberbank later confirmed that it thwarted a powerful DDoS attack on its servers on Wednesday.The first attack was reportedly registered in the morning, the next one – in the evening consisting of several stages with each of them being twice as powerful as the one before.
