With connected devices from kettles and refrigerators to heating and cooling and fitness tracking devices, IoT has certainly taken the consumer world by storm. But what does all of this hype mean for businesses?
This discussion will delve into the impact IoT is having on the corporate world and what inadvertent risks organisations might suffer as a result. It will also leave attendees with crucial advice they can take away when dealing with or setting up policies to address IoT in the workplace.

Panellists for this debate include:
Lubna Dajani, CSO, Intercede:  Lubna works within industry leading multi-national corporations, entrepreneurs, investors, academics, global non-profits, as well as industry forums & standards bodies. She is a futurist who has coined the Allternet™ that goes beyond IoT where all people, places, & products are connected, addressable, & accountable at any given time; a platform where entities (individual consumers and/or companies/communities) control access & rights to their content; & success metrics are a measure of value creation in the market. www.allternet.org.
John Moor, MD, IoTSF:  IoTSF is a non-profit initiative which channels effort to improve quality and drive the pervasiveness of security throughout IoT. He aims to make it safe to connect through a dedicated and diverse group of professionals united in the same mission. With over 30 years experience in technology and engineering, technology advancement, application innovation, engineering and societal transformation are John’s collective domains.
Pete Wood, CEO First Base and Whitehats.co.uk and Security Board ISACA: Pete has worked for over forty years in the electronics and computer industries.  He is a world-renowned security evangelist and penetration tester often speaking at conferences and seminars on ethical hacking and social engineering.
Quentyn Taylor, Director of Information Security, Governance and Risk, Canon Europe: As Head of Security for Canon EMEA, Quentyn has built transformed his IT security team to a division covering the entire information security needs of the company. He has created one of the most diverse and respected teams in the company, striving to drive a more mature attitude to risk. Due to his focus on results, Quentyn was personally selected by the CIO to run Canon’s Tiger Team, focussing on resolving high profile IT issues. As part of his information security role Quentyn now focuses on helping the business use security as a competitive advantage in both product solution design and development.
