Early this year, Gemalto conducted a global survey which concluded that 66% of companies wouldn’t work with companies that had been breached. This could be a huge blow for any company to face this reality; however, if and when the worst happens, you need to be prepared to deal with the fallout. This session will see panellists explore the worst and best case scenarios and how to deal with internal and external company stakeholders, including the press, in order to limit damage and navigate you safely to the other side of a data breach.
Panellists for this debate include:
Mark Deem, Partner, Cooley LLP: Mark Deem is a commercial litigator, with considerable experience of complex domestic and cross-border litigation, international arbitration and regulatory matters. He has conducted litigation in all commercial divisions of the English High Court, Court of Appeal, Supreme Court and Court of Justice of the EU; represented clients in international arbitration proceedings under the rules of the ICC, LCIA, RIDR and IFTA; and has a broad experience of mediation and other dispute resolution mechanisms.
Dan Raywood, contributing editor, Infosecurity Magazine: Dan Raywood is the contributing editor of Infosecurity Magazine. He has written about IT security since 2008, having spent five years as news editor of SC Magazine, 20 months as Editor of IT Security Guru and six months as an Analyst in the Information Security Practice at 451 Research. He has spoken at 44CON, SIRB conference and Infosecurity Europe, as well as writing for a number of vendor blogs and presenting on webcasts.
Neil Stinchcombe, Director, Eskenzi PR: Prior to becoming a director with Eskenzi PR, Neil Stinchcombe was the European Financial Director and MD of the French subsidiary of software development company Datawatch. As a result, he brings a unique first-hand view of working in the IT market. He has also worked on corporate strategy, reporting directly to board level at NASDAQ (Datawatch) and London Stock Exchange quoted companies (Tate & Lyle plc and WPP plc).
