More than 120,000 Massachusetts residents are affected by a recent data breach at the handyperson-for-hire site TaskRabbit, making it the largest breach in the state so far this year, according to new data from Massachusetts regulators. San Francisco-based TaskRabbit, which launched in Boston in 2008 and is now owned by furniture giant Ikea, announced in April that it had suffered a “cybersecurity incident.” The company has said that in some cases, a hacker may have gained access to Social Security numbers, bank account numbers, and other personal information.
