Janrain joins forces with Trusona

Janrain®, the company that pioneered the Customer Identity and Access Management (CIAM) category and Trusona, the global leader in passwordless identity authentication, today announces a go-to-market partnership that will facilitate the creation of a frictionless, no username/password customer journey while enhancing security within the solution stack.

Together Janrain and Trusona will jointly target consumer fintech, insurance and media brands in the EMEA region who are establishing and retaining app-based relationships with their customers as a convenient service channel and are looking to further grow trust with customers, their identity and data.

Research conducted by Trusona shows that 93 per cent of consumers prefer a mobile ‘tap in your app’ experience on their smartphone instead of entering usernames and passwords, increasing login success by a whopping 43 per cent.  Those brands that can establish that mobile relationship with their customers stand to benefit from a substantial increase in loyalty and repeat orders.

Trusona’s passwordless identity authentication not only improves customer experience, it also enhances security by eliminating passwords and the need for customers to remember usernames. The 2017 Verizon Data Breach Investigations Report (DBIR) claims that weak or stolen passwords are responsible for more than 80 per cent of hacking related breaches. By eliminating passwords, organisations implementing Trusona can avoid exposure to data breaches and cybercrime[1].

“Mobile devices have become the go-to for native digital consumers to not only interact with their preferred brands but they are also rapidly becoming the defacto authentication device of choice” comments Mayur Upadhyaya, Managing Director for Europe at Janrain.  “As a leading customer centric solution and inventor of social login, partnering with Trusona offers a new cutting-edge cross channel experience allowing Janrain to continue to innovate on security features without the ongoing burden of passwords.”

Oliver Brough, Managing Director for Europe at Trusona said, “Brands recognise that enabling a great customer experience by making it easy for consumers to login to services is important.  With recent digital privacy breaches and GDPR in the EU, consumers are becoming increasingly demanding about trust. By partnering with Janrain, Trusona extends its security and customer experience capabilities into the connected identity and trust domain.  Both companies recognise that by treating each customer’s identity safely and securely, brands will earn their end-customers’ trust and loyalty.”
