CrowdStrike® Inc., the leader in cloud-delivered endpoint protection, today announced it is positioned as a Leader in the IDC MarketScape: U.S. Incident Readiness, Response, and Resiliency Services: Beyond the Big 5 Consultancies 2018 Vendor Assessment (doc #US44257117, September 2018).

According to the IDC MarketScape assessment, CrowdStrike leverages its intelligence-led incident response (IR) approach and understanding of adversary tactics and techniques to identify security gaps within its client organisations and to advise executives on the development of security strategies to improve detection, prevention, response and remediation capabilities. As the IDC assessment states, “CrowdStrike is a privately held provider of proactive security services and one of the most rapidly growing companies in this space. The company serves a fairly wide spread of customer types and verticals.”

CrowdStrike Services specialises in two main areas: Proactive Advisory Services and IR. CrowdStrike’s strategic advisory service offerings cover a spectrum of tactical and strategic assessments resulting in guidance that provides clients with actionable intelligence and customised recommendations derived from previous engagements with CrowdStrike’s growing customer base and the team’s deep knowledge of the threat landscape and breach response effectiveness.

In the wake of a security-related event, CrowdStrike IR Services’ unique approach and methodology for response enable rapid visibility across the affected client’s infrastructure, establish preventative controls to stem the spread and impact of an active attack, and set forward the tooling to take corrective actions on infected systems to contain the threat and mitigate the damage. This rich visibility allows the response team to pinpoint adversary activity, motivations and techniques, tactics and procedures (TTPs) to help better anticipate future cyber threats and provide attribution when possible. CrowdStrike is hailed by the IDC MarketScape as “one of the fastest-growing companies in the U.S. incident readiness, response, and resiliency services market…and uses its size and flexibility to its advantage.”

CrowdStrike Services differentiates itself with its use of the CrowdStrike Falcon® platform, the leading AI-enabled, cloud-based endpoint protection platform in the industry and its threat intelligence. Falcon Intelligence collects data from over 116 global adversary groups, while the cloud-based data collection of the CrowdStrike Threat Graph™ correlates over 1 trillion security events a week from across the globe to immediately prevent and detect threats. CrowdStrike also incorporates powerful signatureless machine learning algorithms and Indicators-of-Attack (IoA) based threat prevention to identify and block known and unknown threats. This leading combination gives the CrowdStrike Services team the ability to stay one step ahead of cyber threats.

“We built the CrowdStrike Services team to respond to security incidents and provide clients with the most comprehensive and customised analysis, as every environment and incident is unique,” said Shawn Henry, CrowdStrike chief security officer and president of CrowdStrike Services. “CrowdStrike leverages an intelligence-based approach, amplified by the power of the CrowdStrike Falcon platform, which leads to faster remediation and actionable insights to stop the current attack, and prevent future ones. We believe this validation from the IDC MarketScape demonstrates we are setting the new standard in IR and resiliency services.”

“Organisations today constantly face a variety of sophisticated threats and stealthy adversaries who seek to pilfer critical data and stall business operations. CrowdStrike’s strategic advisory proactive services and incident response methods help to prepare organisations to combat today’s ever-evolving cyber threats,” said Christina Richmond, IDC program vice president, Worldwide Security Services. “CrowdStrike provides customers excellent visibility into their infrastructure through continuous monitoring of known adversary activity thereby strengthening their ability to anticipate future attacks.”

The deep technical expertise of the Services team and technology agnostic capabilities of the Falcon platform ensure that customers are protected 24/7/365. As such, CrowdStrike offers a warranty on its Falcon Complete solution of up to $1 million if a breach occurs within the protected environment, giving customers ultimate peace of mind.
