Ingram Micro Chooses Nyotron’s PARANOID For Its Endpoint Security.

Nyotron, provider of the industry’s first OS-Centric Positive Security solution to strengthen endpoint protection, announced today that Ingram Micro, a leading global provider of technology solutions serving 160 countries with $46B in revenue, has chosen Nyotron’s PARANOID to secure its approximately 34,000 associates and 5,000 servers.

“We’ve realized that chasing threats, whether with signatures, machine learning or manual threat hunting, will continue to be a challenge,” said Tom Peck, Ingram Micro global chief information and digital officer. “Having such a large and diverse environment, we needed a different approach. Nyotron resonated with us because it provides additional visibility and future-proof protection that can complement our existing security stack and endpoint security solutions.”

Nyotron’s PARANOID uses a novel approach to prevent zero-day attacks and evasive threats; rather than trying to detect a potentially infinite amount of ever-evolving “badness”, it maps finite “good” OS behavior and blocks everything that falls outside of it. The solution can stop any attack, regardless of the type of threat or the methodology used to infiltrate the network, and does not rely on machine learning, artificial intelligence or any other statistical, predictive or anomaly-based methods.

“We are proud that our partnership with Ingram Micro continues to grow and strengthen, and we look forward to a long and mutually beneficial relationship,” said Sagit Manor, CEO of Nyotron. “We see significant traction among customers with failed EDR, as well as application control deployments searching for visibility and protection from evasive threats without the need to hire teams of threat hunters. PARANOID replaces EDR tools and reduces threat hunting to zero by offering real-time protection from threats that bypass baseline endpoint defenses.”

About Nyotron:
Nyotron provides the industry’s first OS-Centric Positive Security to strengthen laptop, desktop, and server protection. By mapping legitimate operating system behavior, Nyotron’s PARANOID understands all the normative ways that may lead to damage, such as file deletion, data exfiltration, encryption, and more. Focusing on these finite “good” actions allows PARANOID to be completely agnostic to threats and attack vectors. PARANOID works seamlessly with antivirus and next-generation antivirus solutions to provide the last line of defense from modern state-level attacks. Nyotron (www.nyotron.com) is headquartered in Santa Clara, CA with an R&D office in Israel.
