Check Point and Illumio Team Up to Advance Zero Trust with Unified Security and Threat Prevention
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

Check Point Software Technologies and Illumio have announced a strategic partnership aimed at helping organisations enhance their Zero Trust strategies and proactively contain cyber threats.

The integration brings together Check Point’s Infinity Platform, which includes Quantum Force firewalls, Infinity ThreatCloud AI, and AI-powered Security Management, with Illumio’s Segmentation and Insights capabilities. The result is a powerful combination that enables real-time threat identification, containment of lateral movement, and stronger cyber resilience across hybrid and multi-cloud environments.

“Stopping lateral movement is critical to breach prevention,” says Itai Greenberg, Chief Revenue Officer at Check Point Software. “Our partnership with Illumio delivers unmatched visibility and adaptive policy enforcement, empowering organisations to contain threats fast. It also demonstrates the strength of our hybrid mesh architecture, which we envision as an open garden, and our commitment to driving Zero Trust strategies with industry leaders.”

At the heart of the integration is advanced microsegmentation enforcement. By combining Check Point’s AI-driven security with Illumio’s ability to visualise and restrict unauthorised movement within networks, the two companies aim to give security teams greater control and visibility.

Check Point’s Quantum Force firewalls serve as intelligent enforcement points, capable of blocking malicious traffic. When threats are identified, the company’s dynamic policy engine enables automatic response through Check Point’s AI Security Management. The addition of Illumio Insights provides further intelligence to identify high-risk paths and potential attack vectors, all in real-time.

The partnership is designed to simplify Zero Trust adoption while enhancing threat prevention. Among the key benefits of the integration are:

  • Streamlined Zero Trust deployment: Enhanced protection of critical assets through microsegmentation without the complexity typically associated with implementation.

  • Early threat prevention: Detection and containment of attacks before they spread laterally across networks and environments.

  • Combined threat intelligence: Greater visibility through the fusion of ThreatCloud AI and Illumio Insights, allowing for faster and more informed responses to security incidents.

“This powerful collaboration between Illumio and Check Point marks a significant step forward in cybersecurity threat intelligence and breach containment,” says Andrew Rubin, CEO and Founder of Illumio. “The integration of Illumio and Check Point represents a shift towards smarter, more adaptive cybersecurity by enhancing visibility, enabling real-time threat detection and response, and providing adaptive security measures that align with Zero Trust principles. Our proactive approach helps security teams connect the dots and uncover hidden threats more efficiently to avoid cyber disasters.”

Illumio’s platform, which includes Illumio Insights and Illumio Segmentation, is designed specifically for breach containment. Insights, the first cyber defence radar (CDR) built on an AI security graph, helps organisations detect and assess threats quickly. Segmentation, meanwhile, isolates critical assets and enables fast incident response.

Check Point’s Quantum Force product line, part of its broader Infinity Platform, delivers unified cloud and on-prem security with AI-powered threat protection and centralised policy management. Designed to cover everything from data centers to branch offices, the platform enables organisations to manage evolving threats in a rapidly expanding attack surface.

The partnership represents a key milestone in bringing together industry leaders to drive the future of adaptive, intelligence-led cybersecurity.
