HostBreach Offers Free Cyber Snapshot For CMMC Compliance Requirements
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

Philadelphia-based cybersecurity firm HostBreach is offering a free CMMC Cyber Snapshot to businesses looking to maintain CMMC compliance.

In particular, this refers to government contractors (GovCon) and federal contractors so they can organise their cybersecurity posture pending the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) 2.0 standards.

This free offer comes at the right time, with the Department of Defense (DoD) enforcing stricter cybersecurity requirements to protect Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) on contractor systems.

What is CMMC Compliance?

CMMC (Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification) compliance is a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) requirement that ensures contractors protect Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) on their systems.

It establishes a set of cybersecurity standards across three maturity levels, based on NIST frameworks, that companies must meet to be eligible for DoD contracts.

What is Included in the CMMC Compliance Cyber Snapshot?

The CMMC Cyber Snapshot is a lightweight intelligence tool designed to provide an external assessment of a company’s public-facing cybersecurity risks through the lens of CMMC 2.0. By simulating a real-world hacker scenario, it helps identify security gaps that could impact a company’s ability to win future DoD contracts.

The snapshot tool is free for smaller contractors under 50 employers and is $295 for larger companies or $495 with a snapshot and consultation.

How the Process Works

  1. Choose Your Snapshot Tier: Select from various tiers, ranging from a one-time domain scan to a full consultation or monthly access plan.
  2. Submit Your Domain: Provide your company’s domain and basic information through a secure form. No internal access is required, as the assessment uses passive Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) only.
  3. Analysis: HostBreach analyzes your public-facing infrastructure, mapping findings to CMMC Level 2 controls (NIST 800-171), and simulates a real-world hacker scenario.
  4. Receive Your Snapshot: Obtain a personalized PDF report or schedule a consultation to discuss key risks, CUI exposure points, and recommended paths forward.

Why Is CMMC Compliance Important?

The CMMC Cyber Snapshot provides critical insights into a company’s current security posture, offering a GovCon Trust Score™ and identifying potential contract opportunities. It also highlights CMMC gap indicators, which are essential for companies aiming to achieve compliance and secure DoD contracts.

The Role Of Proactive CMMC Compliance

With the DoD’s final rule on CMMC cybersecurity requirements going into effect, it’s crucial for contractors to proactively assess and address their cybersecurity gaps. Failure to do so could result in missed contract opportunities and potential penalties.

Why Use HostBreach For CMMC Compliance Services?

As a professional cybersecurity services firm specializing in Virtual Chief Information Security Officer (vCISO) solutions, HostBreach brings extensive experience in DFARS, NIST 800-171, CMMC, FISMA, FedRAMP, and RMF. Their team, led by founder Francisco Velasquez, a former service member with extensive cybersecurity experience, has successfully led security operations for Fortune 500 companies, government agencies, and defense contractors.

Try HostBreach’s Free CMMC Cyber Snapshot Today

HostBreach’s free CMMC Cyber Snapshot is a valuable tool for GovCon companies and federal contractors to assess their cybersecurity posture and prepare for CMMC 2.0 compliance. By identifying security gaps and providing actionable insights, it enables companies to proactively address vulnerabilities and enhance their eligibility for future DoD contracts.
