Check Point Software Technologies has unveiled a new AI-focused security strategy alongside three acquisitions aimed at strengthening its platform across AI agent protection, exposure management and managed service provider (MSP) environments.
The announcement outlines a four-pillar framework designed to help organisations manage the growing cyber risks associated with rapid AI adoption. As enterprises embed AI into daily workflows, automation and decision-making systems, the attack surface is expanding in parallel — prompting security vendors to rethink traditional approaches.
Check Point said its strategy centres on delivering a unified, prevention-first platform capable of securing hybrid infrastructures, digital workspaces and AI-driven systems.
A Four-Pillar Approach to AI Security
At the heart of the strategy are four core pillars aligned with how modern enterprises operate:
Hybrid Mesh Network Security focuses on protecting distributed environments spanning hybrid cloud, on-premise data centres, branch offices and internet-facing assets through an AI-powered architecture.
Workspace Security targets the modern digital workspace, covering endpoints, browsers, email, SaaS applications and collaboration platforms — environments where employees increasingly interact with AI tools.
Exposure Management aims to provide consolidated visibility across the organisational attack surface, helping security teams prioritise risk based on business impact rather than isolated alerts.
AI Security addresses risks across the AI lifecycle, from employee use of generative AI tools to enterprise AI applications and autonomous AI agents.
The company describes its delivery model as an “open garden” platform — an approach intended to integrate with existing security stacks while maintaining a prevention-first posture across multi-vendor environments.
Three Acquisitions to Accelerate Execution
To support the rollout of its AI strategy, Check Point announced the acquisitions of Cyata, Cyclops and Rotate.
Cyata, founded in 2024, specialises in AI agent identity management. Its technology enables organisations to discover active AI agents, map permissions, monitor behaviour and enforce automated security policies — an emerging requirement as enterprises experiment with autonomous AI systems.
Cyclops, established in 2021, provides a Cyber Asset Attack Surface Management platform designed to consolidate data from across environments, delivering comprehensive asset visibility and contextualised risk prioritisation.
Rotate offers an all-in-one platform built for MSPs, enhancing centralised protection across distributed workforces and SaaS environments — an area seeing increased demand as organisations outsource security operations.
Roi Karo, Chief Strategy Officer at Check Point, said the shift toward AI-driven operations requires a structural rethink of cybersecurity frameworks.
“As AI reshapes how organisations operate and how threats evolve, security must be fundamentally rethought,” he said. “Our four-pillar strategy provides a clear framework to secure networks, workspaces, exposure risks and AI-driven environments as a unified platform. The acquisitions we are announcing today demonstrate how we are executing on this vision and helping customers securely navigate the AI transformation.”
Further financial and strategic details relating to the acquisitions were included in the company’s earnings announcement released yesterday.
