Forescout and Netskope Deliver Universal Zero Trust Integration Across Managed and Unmanaged Devices

Check Point and Illumio Team Up to Advance Zero Trust with Unified Security and Threat Prevention

Forescout Technologies Inc., a global cybersecurity leader, and Netskope (NASDAQ: NTSK), a leader in modern security and networking for the cloud and AI era, have announced a strategic integration designed to deliver Zero Trust security across every device – managed and unmanaged IT, OT, IoT and IoMT.

By combining Forescout’s real-time device intelligence with Netskope’s AI-driven cloud security and adaptive private access controls, the integrated solution continuously and dynamically adjusts access decisions based on device posture and risk. The result is consistent Zero Trust enforcement, regardless of where or how an asset connects.

Securing Both North-South and East-West Traffic

The joint solution equips customers with the instrumentation needed to apply Zero Trust policies universally, irrespective of device type or location. While many standalone ZTNA solutions focus primarily on north-south cloud traffic, the Forescout and Netskope integration also secures east-west communications at the local network level.

Forescout provides real-time discovery and assessment of connected assets behind routers and firewalls, while Netskope enforces adaptive access controls. Together, they continuously evaluate context and risk to automate remediation and contain lateral movement across the enterprise, reducing the potential blast radius of emerging threats.

Proven at Scale with a Fortune 500 Financial Services Organisation

The integration is already in use at one of the world’s largest financial services organisations. The company has leveraged the combined solution to uncover hundreds of thousands of devices, bridging visibility gaps across remote and on-premises environments and across a diverse range of device types.

The deployment has delivered significant improvements in asset visibility, closed coverage gaps, and become a critical capability for supporting compliance and risk management initiatives.

Barry Mainz, CEO of Forescout, said: “As digital environments expand and grow more complex, we are helping organisations shrink their attack surface. The volume and variety of device types are exploding, along with the number of applications, users and access points. By joining forces with Netskope, we are bringing together two best-of-breed solutions, granting customers complete visibility and control over their environments, with policies that automatically adjust as conditions change, and enabling north-south and east-west security policy enforcement. This represents a gold standard for how universal Zero Trust Network Access is applied in practice, not just as a theoretical model.”

Sanjay Beri, CEO of Netskope, added: “Modern security and performance for the cloud and AI era must include a Zero Trust approach to secure data and keep business resilient. Our integrated solution with Forescout was designed for the scale, speed and diversity of today’s enterprises, providing the cohesive, centralised secure access organisations require.”

Addressing Fragmented Security Architectures

Many organisations continue to rely on disparate point solutions that are not fully integrated, often managed by siloed teams. This lack of synchronisation can create visibility gaps and limit effective control.

The Forescout and Netskope integration addresses these challenges by delivering universal secure access in a consistent and seamless manner, with policy enforcement both in the cloud and closer to the user or device.

Key Benefits

The joint solution provides:

  • Universal Zero Trust Policy: Consistent, granular security policies across all assets, including traditional endpoints, mobile devices, OT, IoT and medical (IoMT) devices.

  • Enhanced Visibility and Risk Assessment: Identification of local endpoints and unmanaged IoT devices that may be invisible to traditional agents or located behind network barriers.

  • Lateral Movement Containment: Control of east-west local network traffic to reduce the blast radius of threats before they can spread.

  • Streamlined Compliance: Support for frameworks such as HIPAA, NIST and CIS through continuous assessment of both managed and unmanaged devices.

  • Adaptive Security Enforcement: Real-time adjustment of access decisions and security policies based on device posture, user behaviour, application sensitivity and observed risk.
