Zimperium has expanded its presence in the UK through a new partnership with ABC Distribution, as organizations face growing cyber risks linked to mobile devices, applications, and AI-powered scams.
The partnership will see ABC Distribution deliver Zimperium’s mobile security solutions to partners across the UK, helping businesses detect and prevent attacks that originate on smartphones and tablets.
The announcement comes at a time when cybercriminals are increasingly adopting a mobile-first approach, targeting users through SMS messages, messaging platforms, QR codes, and social media applications.
Mobile threats continue to evolve
One of the fastest-growing threats is “mishing,” a form of phishing that targets users directly on mobile devices. These attacks often seek to steal credentials, hijack active sessions, or enable account takeover and fraudulent transactions.
Unlike traditional phishing campaigns that typically target email inboxes, mobile-based attacks often take place within apps and communication channels that many security tools struggle to monitor.
According to Zimperium, this shift means mobile devices are becoming a primary attack vector for cybercriminals seeking access to corporate networks, customer accounts, and sensitive data.
Andy Fleet, Regional Vice President of EMEA at Zimperium, said organizations need greater visibility into the risks originating from mobile devices.
“Threats increasingly originate on mobile devices, and identity alone is no longer enough,” Fleet said. “Organizations need visibility into mobile risk to understand what is actually happening and respond in time to stop real impact.”
UK government highlights mobile security risks
The partnership follows the publication of the UK Government’s Fraud Strategy 2026-2029, which highlights the growing overlap between cybercrime and fraud.
The strategy specifically identifies threats such as social engineering, SIM swapping, phishing attacks, and AI-enabled scams as key areas of concern. It also recognizes the increasing role mobile devices play in enabling both cyberattacks and financial fraud.
As organizations continue to expand digital services, mobile security is becoming increasingly important for sectors including banking, telecommunications, government, and critical infrastructure.
Supporting channel partners across the UK
Through the agreement, ABC Distribution will provide channel partners with access to Zimperium’s mobile threat defense and mobile application protection technologies.
The platform is designed to help organizations detect attacks in real time, identify threats originating from compromised devices, establish device trust beyond traditional identity controls, and protect mobile applications from malware and exploitation.
Chris Walsh, Managing Director at ABC Distribution, said many organizations are still relying on security approaches that were not designed to address threats occurring directly on mobile devices.
“Mobile threats have evolved incredibly quickly over the last few years, but many organizations are still relying on security models that were never designed to deal with attacks happening directly on the device,” Walsh said.
“What makes Zimperium different is the visibility it gives organizations into genuine mobile risk, whether that’s phishing, compromised applications, or malicious activity happening in real time on the device itself.”
Mobile security moves up the agenda
The UK government’s strategy also includes the creation of an Online Crime Centre designed to improve intelligence sharing between government agencies, law enforcement, telecommunications providers, financial institutions, and technology companies.
Zimperium believes mobile threat intelligence can play an important role in those efforts by providing earlier visibility into attacks originating from mobile devices.
The company’s solutions became available through ABC Distribution across the UK on June 1, 2026.
