Craig Hinkley has been named as the new CEO of WhiteHat Security.
Replacing founder Jeremiah Grossman, who moves from the position of interim CEO to CTO, Hinkley brings more than 20 years of executive leadership in the technology sector having previously served as vice president and general manager of the LogLogic business unit for TIBCO Software. Previously he was general manager at Hewlett-Packard for the HP Networking Business in the Americas.
Hinkley said: “WhiteHat has a proven portfolio of application security solutions for customers that need security across the entire software development lifecycle, from code development to mobile and all the way through to live production applications. These capabilities, coupled with a commitment to providing an excellent customer experience, make it easy to see why organisations rely on WhiteHat and why I decided to join such a great company.”
Grossman said: “Web security is critical not only to the businesses and organisations that we work with directly, but extends to all of their employees, customers, clients and users – essentially every person that uses the Internet to do business, to shop online, and to communicate every day, benefits from the work we do here at WhiteHat.
“When looking to hire the new CEO, we needed someone who is passionate about web security and who has the drive to take us to the next level. We believe that Craig’s leadership abilities and vision for the company are exactly what WhiteHat needs and we are excited to have him join the team.”
