Aftab Afzal Will Oversee New Business Initiatives in Key Markets
NSFOCUS IB today announced that Aftab Afzal has joined the company as the new Senior VP and General Manager for the EMEA region. NSFOCUS was founded in 2000 to provide enterprise-level network security solutions and services primarily in the Asia/Pacific market. The new NSFOCUS International Business subsidiary brings advanced security solutions to the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia.
Mr. Afzal brings to the role a widely admired reputation for building new markets for a range of technology companies. In his newest capacity at NSFOCUS IB, he will build on longtime relationships with marquee organisations, resellers and distributors to expand the already growing sales pipeline in his target markets, and establish a new footprint for the company’s solutions in different vertical industries.

Mr. Afzal was most recently at Akamai Technologies, where he was Sales Director for Southern Europe & Emerging Markets within Akamai’s security division. Before that he spent nearly five years in successively higher sales positions at Prolexic Technologies, the last two as VP of Sales. Earlier in his career, he held senior sales positions at ProVangel Ltd., a boutique Value Added Distributor; Mirapoint, where he was Strategic Development Director, EMEA; and security specialist Kaspersky Lab UK.
