Speakers include: Brian Higgins, Business Development Manager at (ISC)²; Emma Jones, Employment Training and Partnerships Manager at The National Autistic Society; Solomon Gilbert, CEO and Head of Security Division at Ferox Security LTD.
Throughout Security Serious Week this year, during the first week of October, it will be putting on webinars every day to tackle the theme of “Building Awareness and Bridging the Cyber-Skills Gap through Creativity and Diversity”.
The final Security Serious webinar, titled Neuro Diversity in the Cyber Security Industry, will look at some of the characteristics that make a cyber-security personality which don’t always need to follow convention.
The panel of expert speakers will look to address the issue of the cyber security skills shortage by identifying the traits often over looked by recruiters and employers who are seeking cyber security professionals. Brian Higgins from ISC2 will chair the event as we hear from the National Autistic Society, Solomon who has Asperger’s who will talk about how he started in his career without any formal conventional skills and how sometimes in the field of Cyber-security, this is an acceptable path.
