Cyber security specialist, Arcturus, has become one of the youngest companies to be listed as a CHECK service provider by the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC), achieving the accreditation in just over a year since its incorporation.
As a CHECK-accredited company, Arcturus is now accredited to perform IT Health Checks (ITHC) and assess IT systems for the government and other public sector organisations that store and handle classified and sensitive data or connect to the Public Service Network (PSN).
To achieve a place on this prestigious scheme, the company went through a rigorous vetting process to evidence its outstanding technical knowledge and demonstrate its ethical and responsible testing practices.
This in-depth assessment established that the company can meet the highest levels of professionalism and quality required to test the systems of some of the UK’s most critical public sector organisations.
The accomplishment builds on the CREST accreditations achieved by Arcturus last year. CREST, the global body that exists to drive high standards of penetration testing across the industry, welcomed Arcturus due to the outstanding quality demonstrated within the company’s operating procedures, data security and approach to testing.
Simon Fletcher, managing director at Arcturus said: “To have become an approved CHECK service provider in a record amount of time is testament to the hard work and exceptional talent of our team.
“At just over a year old, we have now been awarded two of the highest accolades in the industry, demonstrating our dedication to delivering penetration testing services of exceptional quality.
“We look forward to growing the number of public sector customers that we work with, and continuing to help organisations across the board to arm themselves with the knowledge that they need to stay secure.”
