Sponsored by Synopsys, the European Cybersecurity Blogger’s Awards are back during Infosecurity Europe.

The annual European Cybersecurity Blogger’s Awards, sponsored by Synopsys, are back for 2019 and are now open for the first round of nominations. Infosecurity bloggers can vote for their favourite cybersecurity related blogs, Twitter and Instagram accounts until midnight on the 3rd of May 2019. Commencing a second round of voting by the judging panel, the winners will be revealed at the Hand & Flower Pub in Olympia on the 4th of June at 6pm.

These awards, hosted during Infosecurity Europe 2019, will recognise the best blogs in the industry as first nominated by peers and then judged by a panel of respected industry experts including: Brian Honan (BH Consulting), Jack Daniel (Tenable), Javvad Malik (AT&T Cybersecurity), Dan Raywood (Infosecurity Magazine), Quentyn Taylor (Canon Europe) and Yvonne Eskenzi (Eskenzi PR).

“If you write or read about cybersecurity on a regularly updated website or web page, run by an individual or small group, we want to hear from you,” said Brian Honan of BH Consulting, who started the awards back in 2015. “From the best new blogs, corporate blogs and most educational or entertaining, we are recognising the cybersecurity bloggers that have made the biggest impact on the industry over the past year.”

New awards this year include the Best Instagrammer and the introduction of the cybersecurity Legend who will be immortalised in the European Cybersecurity Blogger’s Awards Hall of Fame. Of course, it will also see the return of the highly coveted Grand Prix for best overall security blog.

“In the cybersecurity community, blogs and social media networks are essential channels for sharing information, research, and thought leadership,” said Tim Mackey, principle security strategist for the Synopsys Cybersecurity Research Center. “Synopsys is honoured to support a program that recognises some of the most impactful cybersecurity blogs and influencers who have facilitated and driven these important dialogues over the past year. We encourage everyone in the community to nominate your favourite blogs and thought leaders, and we look forward to congratulating the winners at the upcoming awards ceremony.”

Nominations are now being accepted until the 3rd of May here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/eubloggerawards19
