This year’s Infosecurity Europe – Europe’s number one information security event – is raising the bar for 2019 with over 400 exhibitors set to attend, featuring some of the most forward-thinking, innovative cyber security companies from around the world. To allow visitors to make the most of the event, Infosecurity Europe has introduced the new LaunchPad, an interactive one-stop-shop for visitors to listen and explore some of the new exhibitor novelties at the show, and then visit the stands of those suppliers with innovations that interest them.

Viktor Petersson, CTO WoTT, will explore the proliferation of IoT devices. After briefly exploring the problem space, we will explore how to solve it. The talk will focus largely on securing consumer-like devices (e.g. Raspberry Pi), and include topics such as building a good pipeline, OTA, testing and basic security best practices. IoT security is not rocket surgery.

This presentation will look in depth at the vulnerabilities discovered in a ZTE wifi router, including a demo, the risks associated with each flaw, how they can be addressed, and lessons we can learn for IoT security.
