QinetiQ’s data security company Boldon James has announced a partnership with Websense to deliver an integrated approach to data loss prevention and data classification.

The partnership bolsters the existing relationship that the companies have developed over the past 12 months working on joint projects and raises the bar for best practice in delivering a data loss prevention strategy, forming the cornerstone of any organisation’s overall security approach.

John Stringer, global product manager for Websense, said: “By supplying Websense TRITON APX DLP with classification metadata, Boldon James Classifier complements our advanced data analysis methods, helping to reduce the overall risk of data loss.

“Partnering with leading data classification solution providers, like Boldon James, enables our partners and customers to effectively implement a set of complementary data security controls. We look forward to growing our partnership with Boldon James and maximising our respective experience to benefit all our mutual clients.”

Keith Vallance, product director at Boldon James, said: “This is a positive alliance for Boldon James, especially as Websense is a recognised leader in the area of DLP. The partnership will strengthen our position in the market, enabling us to more effectively support companies with a diverse range of DLP needs.

“Combining Boldon James Classifier with a comprehensive Data Loss Prevention solution such as TRITON AP-DATA, the users become active contributors to an effective data theft prevention solution.”
