Combines Palo Alto Networks’ leading Cortex XDR solution with Net Consulting’s managed services — empowering customers’ security operations

Net Consulting Ltd., a specialised digital consultancy and managed-services provider for the public and private sectors, has announced it has become a Palo Alto Networks Cortex® XMDR Specialization partner, joining a select group of channel partners who have earned the distinction. Net Consulting has proven its operational capabilities and fulfilment of business requirements as well as completed technical, sales enablement and specialisation examinations. The Cortex XMDR Specialization allows Net Consulting to combine the power of best-in-class Cortex XDR™ detection and response solution with its managed services offerings — helping customers worldwide streamline security operations centre (SOC) operations and quickly mitigate cyberthreats.

“We are delighted to partner with Palo Alto Networks to help transform MDR capabilities together. As a Cortex XMDR Specialization partner, we’re combining our experience, agility and innovation with the power of best-in-class Cortex XDR,” said Paul Thomas, Managing Director at Net Consulting Ltd. “Delivered from Floodlight®, our own UK sovereign SOC, we’re able to relieve the day-to-day burden of security operations for customers in the public and private sectors, using best in class technology and experience.”

Tom Barsi  VP, Cortex Ecosystems at Palo Alto Networks at Palo Alto Networks added: “Organisations need effective detection and response across the network, endpoint, and cloud but managing today’s threats effectively is a massive undertaking. Net Consulting’s commitment to attain the Cortex XMDR Specialization will give their managed security services customers peace of mind that the services they are choosing will mitigate security gaps and relieve the day-to-day burden of security operations for customers with 24/7 coverage.”

Net Consulting has worked closely with the Ministry of Defence for over 15 years, and this experience has equipped the company with the experience and agility required to work in some of the most complex and challenging environments. Over the years, this experience has been applied to other sectors and Net Consulting now works with a variety of customers, ranging from legal firms, and financial institutions, right through to NHS trusts and universities. For most organisations, especially those of mid-market size, effectively staying abreast of the enormous threat landscape is virtually impossible without investing in their own SOC and team of analysts, which is why companies often outsource this kind of work.

From identification, right through to recovery, Net Consulting provides managed and co-managed cybersecurity and consulting services to customers across both the public and private sectors. Its team of skilled cyber experts, are on hand to help clients drive digital vigilance, be more secure and operate in a safer cyber space.

Understandably, there’s a significant amount of trust required when handing over the reins to any managed service provider, so being one of Palo Alto Networks XMDR Specialization Partners, the company says, will add to the credibility Net Consulting has already achieved through many years of service and support to its customer base.

To achieve Specialization status, Palo Alto Networks partner organisations must have Cortex XDR-certified SOC analysts/threat hunters on staff and available 24/7. Partners seeking this XMDR Specialization distinction must also complete both technical and sales enablement and specialization examinations. Cortex XMDR Specialization partners combine experienced analysts, mature operational processes and proven customer support with Palo Alto Networks market-leading security products, enabling them to provide customers comprehensive visibility, detection and response across network, endpoint and cloud assets, combined with best-in-class threat prevention and in-depth security expertise.
